Free ATS Resume Checker — See What a Parser Reads

Paste your resume below. You’ll get the extracted text in reading order, a readiness score with fixes, and — if you add a job description — the full list of keywords you cover and miss. Free, no account, no scan credits.

We’ll compare its requirements with your resume. Add only skills and experience you actually have.

What this resume-check score means — and does not mean

The score summarizes checks on the things a parser depends on: readable contact details, standard section headings, bullets that carry real numbers and strong verbs, and sensible length. Add a job description and it also measures term coverage. It does not measure whether a hiring manager will prefer your experience — no checker can. The full rubric lives on the methodology page.

How to fix the issues found

Work top-down: contact details and headings first (they affect every parse), then evidence in bullets. Our tailoring guide shows how to close keyword gaps truthfully, and the rejection guide explains which problems a checker cannot diagnose.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the score an employer sees?
No. Employers use different systems with their own settings. This is our diagnostic score under a published rubric — it measures whether your resume parses cleanly and covers a posting's terms, the parts within your control.
Can this guarantee my resume passes an ATS?
No tool can honestly promise that. What we can do is show you the extracted text in reading order and flag the structure problems that commonly break parsing.
What happens to my resume text?
Nothing leaves your browser. The check runs entirely on this device; pasted text is never uploaded or stored on a server.
Should I add every missing keyword?
No — only the ones that truthfully describe your experience, ideally attached to a bullet that proves them. Keyword stuffing reads badly to humans and falls apart in interviews.
